An interface between living systems and machines

Maharbiz, an engineer from the university of California is a developing an interface system which could prove to be an intermediate between machines and living systems. A beetle can fly in a defined trajectory for a very specific purpose. Don’t assume that the beetle is flying on its own. Instead, the beetle is controlled by a machine fitted on it which injects electrical pulses into the brain of the beetle. Te beetle can be wireless controlled from the control room and the living machine flies.

Maharbiz is on a mission to create biological machines. According to him, the greatest advantage of using biological cells is the ability of the cells to consume very less power for effective communication and interaction. Maharbiz claims that machines like these will be everywhere within hundred years from now and it materializes, this could be a revolution in the scientific arena and is much awaited.

“Intelligent Software Assistant” from Adam Cheyer

Adam Cheyer, a co-founder of Silicon Valley is behind the most discussed and much awaited “intelligent software assistant” which could change the future usage of Internet. Internet is very commonly used these days, mainly for the purpose of information gathering. People search for information based on keyword or a combination of words. Adam Cheyer-the man behind intelligent software development, which is going to be a revolution in technological arena reforms or re defines the internet usage principle.

Adam Cheyer incorporates the wide opportunities in artificial intelligence to his software which is intended to fetch context based relevant information for the internet user. The initial version of software will be released this year and the functionalities of software will be limited to a few purposes, which is rather a conservative kind of approach. The basic functionalities of the software to be released this year aims in undergoing functions such as online reservation, ticket booking etc,. For example, this type of software will facilitate the purchase of online concert tickets for people who don't have the time to queue.
