Ubuntu desktops from IBM

To compete with the latest and widely discussed Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft, IBM is launching Ubuntu desktops. Ubuntu desktops are designed to operate in low-end PCS and especially in Linux based environments. The major advantage of latest IBM release is its adaptability to be incorporated with almost all business processes. It offers the flexibility to be used in existing machines or in thin clients or in any IT establishment which is SOA based.

One of the major disadvantages with Windows environment, pointed out by IBM is the trouble associated with any sort of transformation of processes. If the entire environment need to be incorporated with any specific business processes, it is absolutely difficult, whereas in an IBM powered Linux based machines, any business processes can be incorporated or the existing system can be migrated without much trouble. As a matter of facts, Ubuntu can be considered as a potential challenge to Windows 7.
